Was born in 1966 in Batabanó, Cuba. He is a graduate of the San Alejandro Academy of Fine Arts in Havana (1985). Served as an art instructor at La Casa de la Cultura in Batabanó, as professor of drawing at the Instituto Superior de Pedagogía Enrique José Varona in Havana and as professor of drawing at San Alejandro. Personal exhibitions in Cuba include “Una Ciudad y Otra”, Raúl Martínez Gallery (1997) and “la Ciudad del Silencio”, Charles Chaplin Cinema Gallery (2001) both in Havana. Participation in art fairs in the US include Los Angeles Art Show, Art Chicago, Art Miami, ArteAmericas and Art Palm Beach. His art has been auctioned at Christies and Sotheby’s. Most important solo shows in the US are “Requiem for Havana” Cernuda Arte, Coral Gables, FL , (2002) “Una Isla, Dos Versiones” Miami Dade Kendall Campus Gallery, (2003) and “Por Quien LLoran las Campanas”Cernuda Arte, Coral Gables, FL (2005). His paintings have been included in over 50 group shows in museums, cultural centers and galleries in the US, Cuba, France, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Mexico, Panama and Dominican Republic. His art is part of private or public collections in the US, Cuba, France, Spain, Germany, Japan and China. He lives in Miami.
